Mr. Wilkins has served as National President for the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers (UCCO-SACC-CSN) from May 2019-May 2025 and currently holds the position of National-Vice President. Mr. Wilkins has been advocating for Correctional officers for over 20 years in his union career at the local level, regional level and nationally. In his advocacy he has appeared as witness to Parliamentary committees, lobbied for mental health supports, and testified in numerous WSIB appeals and adjudications with the FPSLREB supporting his membership. Throughout his 24-year career with the Correctional Service of Canada, his primary focus has always been improving the health and safety of the workplace, the mental health of his membership and overall improvement to the working conditions of the Federal Correctional Officer.
Mr. Wilkins is also a graduate of St. Thomas University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology with a focus on behaviour modification and a minor in History.
