Dr. Kelly Dean Schwartz is an Associate Professor, School and Applied Child Psychology, at the University of Calgary. He has a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and an MSc in Educational Psychology. A registered psychologist since 1993, he has served as a school psychologist, program head (Ambrose University), and campus clinical director (U of C). His private practice (PsyConsult Inc.) provides direct service to and consultation with school divisions, provincial ministries, and local agencies. He has served on the boards and committees of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists Association of Alberta, the Canadian Psychological Association, HopeShares Canada, and presently Sonshine Community Services. Dr. Schwartz is a full member of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institutes (ACHRI), the Owerko Centre, the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI), and the Mathison Centre for Mental Health and Education. He is also a Researcher with CIMVHR and the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs.
