Constantina Gountoussoudis is a graduate of the University of McGill, with in a B.A. in Sociology. She began her career with the Canadian Public Service in 2001 working in various roles in the field of Human Resources. In July of 2008, she joined Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) as a Correctional Officer Recruitment Advisor and then progressed as a Regional Staffing Manager in 2012 where she supported the staffing operations for CSC in the Quebec region. In October 2019, she transitioned into the role of National Manager for the Return to work program, providing employees who incur an injury or illness, the support and assistance to return to fully productive employment. Constantina then Managed the Duty to Accommodate program before assuming the role of the Acting Director of the Workplace Wellness & Employee Wellbeing directorate in April 2021. In this role, Constantina has been leading a team of staff dedicated to the improvement of employee wellbeing and supporting healthy work environments. Constantina is continuously looking for opportunities to innovative the wellness programs offered at CSC, who is committed to evolving the services they provide, particularly in the area of mental health. In October 2021, Constantina led the implementation of a case management service to support occupational injury claims.
