Our Team
Dr. Nisbet holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Glasgow (2021). She completed her BA with Honours in Canadian Politics (University of Ottawa), MA in Post Cold War World Order (University of Leicester), and MRes in International Relations (University of Glasgow). Previously she was based at Charles University in Prague, where she was a lecturer in the International Master in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies programme. Her research, supervision, and teaching were focused on qualitative methodology, gender, migration, and security within the European Union. She completed an 18-month Postdoctoral Fellowship at CIPSRT under the supervision of Dr. R Nicholas Carleton.
Jolan is currently a Research Associate at CIPSRT and has several peer-reviewed publications focused on public safety personnel, suicide, social support, and education. She is open to research collaboration in these areas and workplace violence reported by public safety personnel.
