Effective treatment options are essential to improving the mental health of public safety personnel (PSP). CIPSRT provides leadership in developing, evaluating, optimizing, and implementing accessible, secure, and innovative evidence-based interventions. These interventions will be available to current and former PSP in all positions, their leaders, and their families to maintain and improve their mental health and well-being.
The Government of Canada’s Action Plan on Posttraumatic Stress Injuries (PTSI) identified the need for greater access to effective care and treatment tailored explicitly for PSP, especially those in remote and rural areas. CIPSRT has developed an internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy program for PSP called PSPNET. To learn more about this program, access the Internet Delivered ICBT for PSP page.
